Best Organic Beauty Products for the Modern Bohème

Organic Beauty Products for Bohemian Women

I’ll admit it: I'm a bit of a low-key makeup junkie. New makeup tutorial? Memorized. Visits to Sephora? Weekly. And while I love a trendy new product or statement color, my makeup bag is full of products from the same handful of brands I’ve been using for years.

But the truth is, while many of the most notable beauty brands don't scimp on results- they aren't using the best of ingredients. And dammit, we wan't both. So the girls at Harper + Lange decided it was high time to test out A TON of new beauty products and share our top ten favorites with you (in no chronological order). So check out the list below, and get into this goodness!

1) Josie Maran Organic Argan Oil, $48

Ladies, this stuff is GOOD. Not only is it 100% organic, which we love, but argan oil has a TON of skin benefits. To all of you oily-skin ladies out there (my hand is raised, too!), it may; at first glance, seem counter-productive to apply extra oil to your skin. But fret not! Argan oil actually acts as a balancing agent that locks in hydration without causing breakouts. Give this one a try!

2) Korres Almond and Linseed Conditioner, $24.50

Completely paraben and sulfate free, this conditioner can resuscitate hair from the deepest drudges of death (aka post-Coachella). I left it on for 10 minutes (tops) and was in awe of how soft and hydrated my hair looked.

3)  Nourish Organic Face Cleanser, $14.99

Fragrance free and loaded with antioxidants, this cleanser is exactly what you want to put on your skin. As an experiment, try reading the back label of your current cleanser and seeing how many ingredients you can pronounce (I think we can all agree that Formaldehyde is not for the face). This one is simple, clean, and does the job (well!).

4) Juice Beauty Conditioning Lip Color, $18

Featuring organic goji berries and sweet orange, this organic lipstick is almost good enough to eat. And the best part? You won't have to worry about licking your lips since it's all organic! The pink color adds the perfect tint without being too heavy.

 5) Karma Organic Nail Polish, $9.99

Free of virtually anything close to bad, this nail polish is as good as it gets. And while we started out concerned about whether a polish this good could deliver, we were super impressed with the results. In fact, 5 out of the 5 girls who tested it are fighting over the bottle. Our favorite part? It's 100% vegan.

6) 100% Pure Organic Matcha Moisturizer, $49

We love ourselves a good matcha, and this glorious anti-aging moisturizer is no exception! Packed with antioxidants and vitamins, it fights free radical damage head on while providing a power punch of moisture. Not only that, but it feels and smells amazing which is reason enough to make the switch.

7) Éminence Organic Yam & Pumpkin Enzyme Peel, (Check your local spa for pricing)

Yes, it's as good as it looks. This creamy concoction is actually a fantastic exfoliant, removing dead skin cells while reducing the appearance of fine lines and UV damage. We applied it to clean skin and left it on for about 15 minutes, which was enough time to make our skin feel like butter.

8) Zuii Organic Foundation Primer, $38.50

Now I was both eager and skeptical to try this, as I am partial to my Photo Finish. But, to my shock and disbelief, it actually worked...well. And I cannot believe I may actually have discovered a good ORGANIC primer (which was life goals, really). Simply apply a dime size amount to the skin prior to foundation application and you will have yourself a perfectly even canvas to work with.

9) Rōsilliance Organic BB+ Cream SPF 30, $52

Finding a good organic foundation is tricky business. But lucky for us, Rōsilliance has got this in the bag. Featuring an impressive list of ingredients including rose stem cells, it's as good for your skin as it sounds. It has a sheer tint which is great as a base, or even as a standalone foundation for those au naturel days. Plus, it’s water-resistant for up to 80 minutes, which makes us very happy.

10) Kopari Coconut Melt, $38

We love anything to do with coconut oil around here, which is why this product was a slam dunk with us from the start. But the best part is, this cruelty free blend of organic, unrefined coconut can literally be used anywhere and everywhere. We tested it as a body lotion and a hair mask and it made us feel like real-life bohemian goddesses (the way it melts into your skin on contact is nothing less than pure magic). Wherever you decide to use it, your body will thank you!

That's a wrap, ladies: our top ten favorite organic beauty products! And now that you're glowing from the inside out, what better time to go play dress up with our whimsical bohemian dresses? We're loving the Wild Laurel Black Lace Maxi Dress with a dewy glow and soft beach waves!

Great post! I just started using argan oil and will literally never go without it now. Never tried the josie maran brand, but I use it on my hair and as a moisturizer and it works so well!
